Young Adults

“And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.”

Philippians 1:9-11

Join Us!

Who?

This ministry is for young adults who are between the ages of 18 and 30. Whether you are entering college for the first time or navigating the workforce, this is an opportunity for you to join others who are in a similar phase of life and grow in Christ together.

Why?

Our Christian life does not end after the Sunday morning service. Instead, our new life in Christ changes everything. How we think in the classroom, what we feel in our relationships, and how we act in our profession must be governed by Christ. The question is, what does this look like? This is why this ministry exits. It exists for young believers to mature in Christ by knowing him and learning to live for him, all for the glory of his name.

What?

When we gather, we will spend part of the evening studying God’s Word and praying. We are currently reading "Trusting God" by Jerry Bridges. This study is focused on the important question we all have to answer, "Can I trust God?" The other part of the evening will include enjoying food together and playing games.

When?

We currently meet on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month, at 7:00 p.m. Please check out upcoming events for more information or feel free to reach out Derrick (Associate/ Next Generation Pastor) at derricksloan@sccvb.org.
